Over the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to get my hands on a Wii Fit for the Nintendo Wii. It seems that they have become as obscure as the Nintendo Wii was back when it first launched. So this brings up the question, is Nintendo doing this shortage on purpose, or is the demand so high that there is not enough to meet consumer demand?
Over the last of couple months, there has been a decline in both hardware and software sales for the Wii. This is because of the lack of quality software, in my opinion. Nintendo knowing that the Wii Fit would be a great seller, could they be holding back stock to create a fake shortage, like some people suspected of them doing with their Wii consoles over the last year or so. This causes the attention of the market to be focused on the Nintendo obscure product.
The sad part about this is, that the people who actually have them, only have them to make a profit on ebay or craigslist. They should be in the hands of us gamers, not in the hands of the 35 year old guy still living in his mom's basement who has nothing better to do than wait all night to buy a couple and flip them for double or triple the price.
